The Nord East of Sardinia
8 days - 7 nights

Saturday, 1st DAY: Porto Rotondo - Gulf of Marinella - Golfo Aranci

The first day of sailing is expected to be a very relaxing sail. We will leave Porto Rotondo in the late afternoon, after check-in, galley and boarding of the entire crew and we will sail in the Gulf of Cugnana and the Gulf of Marinella for the crew's first approach to the boat and the sea. Weather permitting we will sail to Golfo Aranci, rounding the picturesque Capo Figari and anchoring behind the island of Figarolo in the bay of Cala Moresca which is located north-east of Figarolo, and which despite being beautiful, is less frequented than other bays of the area.

Sunday, 2nd day: Golfo Aranci - Tavolara

Starting from Golfo Aranci and crossing the Gulf of Olbia, we will arrive at the island of Tavolara and we will anchor in the bay of Spalmatore (excellent seabed for anchoring), right in front of a beautiful beach, where you can swim in a emerald water, enjoying a fantastic view. Tavolara is a very particular island, recognizable from afar: it is about half a mile wide, almost 4 miles long and 560 meters high; practically a granite wall placed there to block the Mistral, the dominant wind in Sardinia. The north-eastern part of the island is closed to navigation and anchoring is prohibited due to the presence of a military zone. Further south are the islets of Molara and Molarotto, and the famous "swimming pools" which are certainly worth a stop. Cala Spalmatore (land) is located in the western part of the island of Tavolara and is formed by the union of the granite massif that characterizes the island with the thin strip of sand that extends towards Sardinia. The Spalmatore harbor is well protected from all the winds of the northern quadrant and has a good sandy bottom; on land, on the beach, there is a typical restaurant specializing in seafood dishes and if you want you can dine there in a very wild and peaceful environment.

Monday, 3rd day: Tavolara - Capo Coda Cavallo - Puntaldia

After breakfast and a morning swim we will weigh anchor going south, towards the bay of Capo Coda Cavallo, an oasis of tranquility with breathtaking views: colors and sensations will remain indelible in the memory. The beaches are white with fine sand surrounded by rocks, coves, islets, lagoons repeatedly, no matter how far you turn you will never see them all. Here you can always find, with any wind, a beach with calm sea, either on the southern or northern coast. For the evening you can choose whether to stay in the harbor at Capo Coda Cavallo or anchor outside the Marina di Puntaldia and go ashore to dine in one of the typical restaurants.

Tuesday, 4th day: Puntaldia -La Caletta (Siniscola)

Early in the morning we will move a few miles and find San Teodoro, with its famous Cinta beach. La Cinta is undoubtedly the most famous beach in San Teodoro and is one of the most beautiful beaches that we recommend to those arriving in Gallura for the first time as it represents one of the most characteristic attractions of this part of Sardinia. White sand, turquoise waters, scents that can be felt as soon as you step onto the beach: juniper, sea lily and helichrysum flower on the dunes and adorn a landscape that has remained pure despite being frequented every year by many tourists. After having lunch in the harbor or in one of the characteristic restaurants on the beach, going further south we will reach the port of Caletta. The town of La Caletta has an equipped port from which you can reach the town center on foot. In the evening the main street of the town is closed to traffic, transforming into a beautiful walk among stalls and clubs.

Wednesday, 5th day: La Caletta - Porto Ottiolu

After leaving the moorings from La Caletta we will stop just further south in front of a very long white sandy beach that reaches up to Santa Lucia, for a swim in transparent waters. Resuming navigation towards the North we will sail to the vicinity of the well-equipped Porto Ottiolu. Here you can stop in the harbor or in the port and go ashore. In the marina there are several restaurants, pizzerias and discos for fun nights out. Around the port there are several beaches that can be reached by tender or even on foot from the marina.

Thursday, 6th day: Porto Ottiolu - Porto Taverna

Heading north we will sail from Porto Ottiolu towards the islands of Molara and Tavolara, stopping once again at the famous swimming pools, between the islets of Molara and Molarotto. After a lunch at anchor we will move to other beaches near Tavolara and spend the night at anchor in the harbor of Porto Taverna. The harbor of Porto Taverna is located 2 miles south-west of Cala Spalmatore, on the island of Tavolara, and is an excellent shelter for spending the night in the harbor.

Friday, 7th day Porto Taverna - Porto Rotondo

The last day of navigation will be characterized in the morning by a suggestive sail through the Gulf of Olbia and once we have rounded Capo Figari, we will then direct the bow towards the islet of Mortorio where we will arrive more or less around lunch time. Mortorio is famous for its wild landscapes, is home to a large colony of seagulls and has been the scene of numerous film shoots. The most beautiful harbor is located in the south-west of the island. After having lunch at anchor and after a long refreshing swim, in the late afternoon we will return to our starting point, Porto Rotondo. Evening on land in Porto Rotondo, among shops and typical restaurants.

Saturday, 8th day: Breakfast and check out by 9.30 am

Breakfast on board then check out.
